I enjoyed the CSHL Genome Engineering: The CRISPR-Cas Revolution Meeting 2018. There are still a lot of discoveries and innovations. Two things were the most interesting to me. One is RNA targeting. Now it is possible. The CRISPR is the adaptive immune system of bacteria and archaea, so it makes sense that there are RNA-targeting CRISPR systems. There are some indeed, and already being utilized. The other one is the profile of indels induced by NHEJ. Often I explain NHEJ as "
