2018 Year-End Review / 2018年総括

Good things in 2018: Our first paper was published in Nucleic Acids Research. Several collaborative projects have been launched. They are going well so far. Now we can perform deep sequencing to analyze the genome editing outcomes (thanks to the Yachie Lab at U Tokyo). A few undergraduate students have joined and will join the lab. Things that need improvements in 2019: Spare my time for science more. I have to be more efficient. Keep applying for bigger grants. Now I understand that it is extremely difficult to get grants that cover salaries of technicians and postdocs. Manage research projects more effectively to achieve bigger goals.
